The death of Christ on the cross was a deliberate intercessory act that opened up the floodgate of salvation for sinners. He had taken up the place of sinners and blocked their view from God, who now saw Christ hanging and bleeding on the cross. God cherished this act and added healing to the salvation package. God also made Christ the ultimate reference and pathway to His throne:
